  • My first job in the landscape industry was in the late 70’s at Diablo Nursery in Danville (now Sloat Garden Center), where I was mentored by the owner, a nationally recognized master gardener. Under his guidance, I discovered my passion and eye for landscape design. With that foundation, my Landscape design and construction knowledge inspired me to pursue this path as my career, sharing my talent with others.

  • Initially, upon starting Alderland, I focused on designing and building landscapes, where I gained experience that eventually attracted the attention of Sunset magazine. Soon afterwards, my work and I were also featured in Diablo Magazine. I then went on to win multiple prestigious state and regional awards that earned my company the privilege to be featured on the cover of California Landscape Contractors Magazine.

  • Over the years, many clients approached me about building swimming pools along with their landscaping. Thus, we expanded our services and became Alderland Pool & Landscape Co.

  • Adding pool design and construction to our portfolio, we soon realized the value we could provide our clients, work with just one team from start to finish.

  • And here we are today offering a complete Pool & Landscape design and construction package.

  • After receiving your first meeting sketch with Don, our office designer then turns it into a accurate to scale first draft, that’s when Don reviews every layout and makes miner changes for accuracy before we send it off to you for your review. Our design team is very responsive and usually replies back within 24 hours if any changes are needed.

  • Concept designs, starting at $3,850.

  • If you build with us you don’t ever have to worry about permitting or sub-contractors! We handle everything.

  • Alderland builds a lot of straight forward swimming pools, these projects can get started very quickly, all of our projects adhere to best construction practices.

  • If you have a hillside build or it’s feature rich, your project won’t be our first. At Alder, we’re always excited to use our skills and experience to design and build with you!

3D Design & Build

  • We design and build new swimming pools, as well as updating and enhancing older pools. 
  • Take advantage of working with just one team with adding your landscape.  
  • Alderland offers the latest swimming pool technology,  auto covers,  sanitation systems, operating & equipment systems, safe low voltage pool lighting,  along with new plasters.

Projects

 
  • See your future backyard in a fully rendered 3D video.  
  • For some clients, the 3D rendering can really support and validate design decisions. 
  • Add a 3D video package for $1,500. This includes a fly over.
