Outdoor kitchens are no longer just about grilling! They now incorporate various cooking elements such as pizza ovens, smokers, griddles, and side burners.
Including a bar area in the outdoor kitchen is a trend that continues to grow. It provides a designated space for a drink fridge, serving drinks, and placing appetizer platters.
Fire pits, fire tables, and outdoor fireplaces are being incorporated into backyards to create a relaxing place to extend the evening.
Create a Theme
It’s important to decide if you would like to have more of a contemporary, natural, or traditional feel for your space, we then examine your overall color palette, this typically relates to the colors of the existing home. By unifying the colors and materials it all ties together.
It’s been about 25 years since higher home values started influencing the construction of landscapes and swimming pools. That’s why landscapes of older homes that haven’t been remodeled are often featureless. Backyards have become much more important to the homeowner and it doesn’t appear this trend is going away anytime soon.
Shade Structures
Shade structures are typically the primary go-to backyard destination in our hot summers, add a couch, a table, a BBQ or fire pit. It’s all a personal choice. Modern pavilions offer rain and shade protection, you can incorporate heaters, fans, lights, speakers, and many other fun accessories. Pergolas can offer same features and relief from the sun.
In recent years, different types of shade coverings have been created using modern technology and materials:
-Wooden pergolas have been around for decades, but are now better constructed, with more options for sun and rain protection, as well as other options.
-Aluminum Shade Structures are now available with louvers that open and close to allow you to customize your outdoor experience.
-Pavilion Solid Roof Structures give you the most shade and rain protection and can be overflowing with features, but are also the most expensive to build.
